Poliform Outdoor 2025: a nautical narrative in refined form
Milan Design Week 2025 marked a pivotal evolution in outdoor living – where tactile materials, fluid forms, and elegant silhouettes united into a collection shaped by the sea. Poliform’s new Outdoor collection draws deeply from natural inspirations and a refined nautical aesthetic.
Here’s a closer look at some of the highlights from their new outdoor collections; each a celebration of lifestyle, comfort, and sophistication.
Lagoon Sofa: the poetry of sails and shorelines
Poliform’s new Lagoon seating system – designed by long-time collaborator Emmanuel Gallina – translates the poetic grace of sailing into an outdoor modular sofa. With a slated teak platform as its base, the Lagoon sofa references the traditional deck of a sailboat. But rather than mimic, it reinterprets.
The lines are soft, generous, and low, embracing the language of relaxation while remaining impeccably refined. The backrest, crafted from hand-woven rope, adds not just structure but a visual rhythm reminiscent of rigging on a yacht. These details bring texture and transparency to the composition, allowing the piece to sit elegantly in nature – whether on a terrace, beside a pool, or within a garden.

Ponte Collection: framed by the horizon
Also designed by Emmanuel Gallina, the Ponte collection takes its name from the bridges of sailing vessels.
At the heart of each piece in the Ponte series, whether armchair or sofa, is a distinctive teak structure. The silhouette echoes a minimal architectural form: a frame raised and suspended, offering both support and visual lightness. The rope-woven backrest once again features, but in Ponte, it acts more like a veil – enhancing lightness and elegance.
The result is a seat designed for gazing out at the sea that feels open and elevated, effortlessly blending indoor sensibilities with outdoor resilience.

Henry Outdoor Table: from atelier to terrace
One of Gallina’s most iconic indoor creations makes its outdoor debut. The Henry table is reinvented for the outdoors with a complete material transformation.
Its aluminum frame, featuring legs and a crossbar crafted using die-casting technology, paired with a teak or glazed stoneware top results with a perfectly smooth surface with a sophisticated, elegant touch with a long-lasting functionality perfect for outdoor furniture.
Henry is both monumental and graceful, able to command attention without overpowering the landscape. Whether surrounded by minimalist chairs or layered with seasonal tableware, it acts as a grounding element.

A Trio of Tables: Dama, Reef, and Atoll
Poliform’s 2025 outdoor narrative wouldn’t be complete without the accompanying cast of side and coffee tables that support, punctuate, and complete the lounge landscape. Some of this year’s highlights by Emmanuel Gallina are Dama, Reef, and Atoll; less about statement and more about subtle functionality with a tactile edge.
- Dama is bold in form, carved from a single block-like silhouette. It feels almost like a standalone accent, making it a perfect fit for any setting. Its balanced proportions and clean lines accentuate the understated design aesthetics.
- Reef is a collection of coffee tables that introduce softer geometry that mimic the organic language of coastal rock formations of the sea. It’s organically appealing when paired with all types of outdoor furniture and fabric because of the raw beauty of the material used.
- Atoll is a collectable piece that can be recognized by its irregular lines inspired by nature. Its open form and lighter profile make it perfect for layering and creating exclusive outdoor arrangements.
Each table is crafted with outdoor resilience in mind, using treated materials that resist weather and wear while maintaining their refined finish. Together, they allow for endless configurations.
